On Sunday RISKIT FORA BISKIT did not run very well at Longchamp and she looks to be struggling to find her form so far this season. She chased the leaders and was ridden over two furlongs out. She soon lost her place and was beaten entering the final furlong.

On Monday we were pleased with GRAND MEISTER effort at Windsor. He has showed ability in his only starts as a two-year-old over a mile. He wandered around a bit when coming under pressure, but we were happy with his run considering he has been off the track for seven months and is sure to have needed it. Hopefully we will be able to find a race for him that he can get his head in front next time.

Tomorrow we head to York with The Lark making her seasonal re-appearance. She appears in good form, but the penalty structure for the race is quite perplexing given that last seasons Park Hill winner (Group 2) has to give two pounds to last season Pretty Polly winner (Group 1). Historically The Lark has needed her first run, but we have done as much as possible with her at home and with the ground in her favour expect a good run. At Salisbury INVOKE takes her chance and after some consistent efforts it would be great to see her get her head in front. Back on the turf for the first time this year she should give a good account of herself. At Newmarket we start the evening with HO YAM LAY who is making her debut on the track. She has been working nicely at home, but may just need the run. Later on the card SHANTI is looking to get his head in front. He was too keen on his last start, but he appears to have come on well for that run and it would be a great day if he and The Lark were to go in for their owner Lady Bamford a double on the day. Our final runner is THATCHEREEN who we expected to run much better than she did on her last start. She has been putting in some nice pieces of work at home and good run from her is expected.

On Friday we start the afternoon at Newmarket with a nice two-year-old filly SAVOY SHOWGIRL making her racecourse debut. She should be suited by the six furlongs and we expect her to give a good account of herself. At Newbury RAVEN RIDGE makes his re-appearance after his fourth at Newmarket. He worked really well yesterday and with Jamie back on board hopefully he can get his head back in front. We round off tomorrow with PIAZON at York. He won in nice style on his last start at Yarmouth and we hope he has the makings of a decent sprinter who will keep improving.
